Pools Brook

Pools Brook is a small cold water brush- lined spring creek that was diverted into the original Erie Canal to help maintain water levels. Flowing northeast, around the boundary of Green Lakes State Park,  for almost 4 miles in the town of Manlius. This stream has crystal clear cold water that make it difficult for anglers but ideal for trout to survive. Onondaga County Park Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery stocks over 800 brook and brown trout every spring into it’s clear waters. Access is limited to 6 road crossing right of ways. If clear water difficult bank coverage, and the potential for big trout is your pleasure than Pools Brook is the stream for you.
